| Bankruptcy Court Converts to New Case Management
System
On October 15, 2002, the United States Bankruptcy
Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania will convert
its current docketing system from BANCAP to Case Management
(CM), which is the first of a two-part process. This will
result in a change only in the format of the docket. The content
of the docket remains the same. |
| For those holding a PACER account, this will
result in changes to the login screen and Internet web address.
|
| Internet Access - As of October 15, 2002,
the web address to go to for logging into PACER will be: http://ecf.paeb.uscourts.gov
- This will be the only way to gain access to current case
information. |
| Case information will continue to be available,
for a limited time, by logging in at the old address: http://pacer.paeb.uscourts.gov
- This information will not be current. It will be based on
the court's former case management system, which will stop
being updated as of close of business on Friday, October 11,
2002. |
| Dial-Up Access - This method of access
will change to accommodate our new case management system.
Only current information will be accessible. Dial-up users
seeking to obtain archived case information must visit us
at the court for use of our public terminal or arrange for
Internet access with our PACER service by calling the PACER
Support Center at 1-800-676-6856. |
| The court will announce in early
2003 the anticipated time for the implementation of ECF (electronic
case files), the second part of this new filing system. Under
CM/ECF (Case Management/Electronic Case Files), documents
may be filed electronically over the Internet. CM/ECF also
offers the capability of viewing or downloading a case at
any time, any location, via the Internet. |
Please visit our web site at www.paeb.uscourts.gov
for the continuing changes in our court. |
