The Judicial Conference has approved amendments to the Electronic Public
Access Fee Schedule effective July 1, 2006. The amendments establish two new
fees and increase the existing fee for searches by the PACER Service Center
staff. The following is a description of the fee changes.
● A fee of $.50 per page has been established for the PACER Service Center
to reproduce on paper any record of a PACER account. This fee shall also apply
to services rendered on behalf of the United States if the paper relates to the
requester’s account and is remotely available through electronic access.
● A fee of $45 has been established for checks that are returned
to the PACER Service Center for lack of funds.
● Existing fee Item III of the Electronic Public Access Fee Schedule
is amended to increase the fee for searches conducted by the PACER Service
Center staff to $26 per name or item searched.
