The Executive Committee of the Judicial Conference has approved amendments to Bankruptcy
Official Form 1, the Voluntary Petition. The amendments make the Official Form consistent with
new Bankruptcy Rule 9037 by requiring that filers redact individual taxpayer identification
numbers (ITINs) as well as social security numbers. The amended form, which is posted here,
will be effective on January 1, 2008.
