Several amendments to the Bankruptcy Code contained in the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act became effective immediately upon enactment. Under Section 1401, the wage priority cap has been increased from $4,000.00 to $10,000.00 and the look-back period has been expanded from 90 to 180 days.
Accordingly, Official Form 10, Proof of Claim, has been amended and is posted on the forms page of the court’s website at www.paeb.uscourts.gov.
